Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 9, 2026
Eternal Promises Church (Eternal Promises, “the church,” “we,” “us”) operates eternalpromiseschurch.org. We collect only what we need to serve our congregation and visitors, we never sell your information, and we share it only as described below.
Information we collect
Information you give us.
- Member account: name, email address, and any profile details you choose to add when you register.
- Member directory: information you choose to include in your directory listing, such as photo, phone number, mailing address, and family members.
- Forms: what you enter when you contact us, sign up for a ministry or event, or submit a prayer request.
- Giving: if you give online, your name, email, and gift amount. Payment details are entered directly on our Anedot giving form; we do not receive or store your card or bank account numbers.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our server records basic technical data such as your IP address, browser type, pages visited, and time of visit. We use this to keep the site secure and working.
How we use your information
- To create and manage your member account and sign you in
- To show your listing in the member directory, if you choose to have one
- To respond to messages, prayer requests, and event or ministry sign-ups
- To send church announcements and updates you have asked to receive
- To process gifts and send giving receipts
- To protect the site and our members from spam, fraud, and misuse
The member directory
The directory is visible only to signed-in members, never to the public. You control what appears in your listing and can edit or remove it at any time from your account or by contacting us. Members agree to use directory information only for church fellowship and never for commercial solicitation, mailing lists, or sharing outside the church family.
Prayer requests
Prayer requests are seen only by church staff and the prayer team, unless you ask us to share them more widely. Please share only what you are comfortable with church leaders knowing.
How we share information
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share it only:
- With service providers that help run the site, such as our web host (Tobler Haus), Mailchimp, which sends our church emails, Anedot, which processes online gifts, and Resi, which hosts our service video streams. They may use your information only to provide services to us.
- Within the church, with staff and ministry leaders who need it to serve you.
- When required by law, or to protect the safety of our members or the public.
Cookies
We use cookies to keep you signed in and remember your preferences. Embedded sermon videos from Resi may set their own cookies when played. The Anedot giving form and Mailchimp emails may use their own cookies or tracking under their own privacy policies. We do not use advertising or analytics trackers. You can block or delete cookies in your browser, but some features, such as signing in, may not work without them.
Children
Our website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them online. Member accounts are for adults. Families may list children’s names in a parent’s directory entry. We will not publish a child’s full name with a photo on the public site without a parent’s permission. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Keeping your information safe
The site uses encrypted connections (HTTPS), and access to member information is limited to those who need it. No website can promise perfect security, but we take reasonable steps to protect what you share.
How long we keep it
We keep account and directory information while you are an active member, and delete it within a reasonable time after you ask us to or your account is closed. Giving records are kept as long as needed for tax and accounting purposes.
Your choices
You can update your profile and directory listing at any time, unsubscribe from emails using the link in any message, and ask us to see, correct, or delete your information by contacting us.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will post the new version here with a new effective date. For significant changes, we will notify members by email.
